Rubber Band Powered Vehicle

This was my project for MAE 94, Fall 2018. It is a rubber band powered vehicle that was modeled using Solidworks and printed at UCLA's Lux Lab.
The finished product traveled 10.5 feet using one rubber band. It managed to travel straight and had little wobble.
These are screenshots from the Finite Element Analysis I ran of the chassis of the vehicle. Above it shows the maximum stress and displacement that will occur due to the tension of a rubber band (calculated the force of a rubber band through experimentation). This was necessary in order to ensure that the chassis would not fail during use. The software used was provided in Solidworks.
